The Story of British Art

This 30-week course looks at the varied artworks to emerge from the British Isles – from William Hogarth to Damien Hirst. 

We shall look at how the titanic changes that affected our country produced an eccentric art history, different to any other nation.

The course will run at two sites:

West Durrington Community Centre on Wednesdays from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon,
starting on 17th September, 2025. The cost will be £420.00 for the whole year,
or £1450.00 per 10-week term.

Adastra Hall, Keymer on Thursdays from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon,
starting on 18th September, 2025. The cost will be £460.00 for the whole year,
or £160.00 per 10-week term.

The Story of Russian Art –
from Prehistory to Putin and Pussy Riot

This 30-week course looks at the nation with the greatest changes in its artistic language – Russia! 

We shall look at the development of Russia’s artistic styles from Byzantium to Romanticism, from Symbolism to Modernism, from Soviet art to contemporary.
